There is no meeting for August.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, September 7 at 7:00pm in the Parish Meeting Room. If you are dealing with the death of a loved one, this might be for you. Make plans to attend on Tuesday evening, September 7 at 7:00pm.

Previously worn uniforms will be on sale on Tuition Night, Wednesday, August 3. Any family wishing to donate used uniforms can drop them off at the School Office by Tuesday from 9:00 to 11:00am.

This Sunday, August 1, at 4:00pm Father Kennedy will be installed as the Vicar for Philadelphia-North by Cardinal Justin Rigali. The installation will take place at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue within the celebration of Solemn Evening Prayer. The parishioners of the Parishes in the Philadelphia-North Vicariate are invited to attend the installation ceremony and the reception which will follow in McBride Hall.

A Redemption Voucher can be picked up on tuition night, August 3 between 6:15 and 7:15pm in the Gift Card Sales location. Gift Cards will not be sold that evening. A written request for a Voucher or check to another Catholic school will be accepted during regular Gift Card Sales hours. Please allow one week for pickup. Requests for Redemption Voucher forms are available during normal Gift Card Sales hours.

You can still contribute to this appeal by placing your donation in the Sunday collection or mail/ drop off your donation to the parish office. Also, see www.catholiccharitiesappeal.org

If you contribute through United Way, the donor option number for Catholic Charities is 00233. Please make sure you note that your parish is Saint Christopher, so that we get credit toward our goal. Mail/drop off your donation at our parish office before June 30.

2010/2011 Registration for Grades 1 - 8
Students not currently enrolled in a Catholic school come together on Monday nights from September thru May to learn about Jesus. Fun and engaging lessons on topics about our Catholic faith are taught by dedicated volunteer catechists. Sessions take place in the school building between 6:45 and 8:00pm.

Registration for the 2010 - 2011 PREP year is now being taken. Registration forms are available at the Parish Office.

The registration fee is $65.00 per child, and can be paid at the Parish Office. Please make checks payable to: St. Christopher Church. Also if you utilize the Scrip Program, the scrip credits you earn can be used towards the PREP registration fee.

A copy of a baptismal certificate is needed to register a new student who was not baptized at St. Christopher.For further information about our parish PREP program, please contact our Religious Education Director, Jim Malinowski at 215-673-5177, ext. 28.

First-time parents (and parents who have not previously attended a class) must attend a Pre-Jordan class before scheduling the Christening. We suggest that you attend before the birth of your baby. The next class will be on Wednesday, July 28, at 7:00pm in the Parish Meeting Room. Please call the Parish Office to register in advance.

Please pick up a request form (peach color paper) for announced Mass Intentions at the entrances of the Church or at the Parish Office to schedule Masses for 2011.

You may drop off or mail-in your requests to the Parish Office. All Mass intentions will be handled on a first come basis. We will do our best to try to accommodate your requests.

8th Grade Graduation DVDs & Picture Disks (every 8th grader receives one) are now available for pickup at the Parish Office. Hours:

St. Christopher’s Pre-Cana Class is scheduled for Saturday, September 11, 2010.
This program is required for all couples preparing for marriage. While our own parishioners have first preference, the class is open to other couples getting married in neighboring parishes. For additional information and to register, please call the parish office at 215-673-5177.

Every Tuesday the St. Christopher bible Study Group meets from 9:00 to 10:00am in the Parish Meeting Room (located off of Lindsay Street). We pray, discuss the upcoming Sunday Scripture Readings, and learn more about God's action in the world as expressed by The Holy Spirit!

Everyone is invited to come whenever you can!

Classes are every Tuesday morning, from 9:00 to 10:00am in the Parish Meeting Room. We will use the Scriptures for the upcoming Sunday Liturgy. All are welcome!
